Sports News - Rollins Nabs MVP

Last year Ryan Howard took home the NL MVP for the Philadelphia Phillies. On Tuesday, Howard's teammate Jimmy Rollins took home the hardware for the 2007 season after leading the Phillies to their first playoff appearance in 14 years. The Gold Glove shortstop barely edged out Colorado's Matt Holliday for the prestigious honor. Hollins batted .296 with 30 home runs and 41 stolen bases. For the American League, Alex Rodriguez of the Yankees took home his third AL MVP on Monday.

Sports News - Lil Romeo Signs

Lil Romeo has been doing big things in the music and show business world since the time he was a just a little kid. But lately Romeo has been making it big in another area - basketball. This week, the 6'1" high school senior signed with USC, one of the top college basketball programs in the country. His father, Master P, was a standout college basketball player and came very close to making the NBA in the late '90s.

Sports News - Tyson in Pink?

On Tuesday, ex-boxing champion, Mike Tyson, reported to jail, where he served a one day sentence for cocaine possession. The 41-year-old boxer plead guilty to the charge in September for the incident that happened last year in Arizona. He was also sentenced to three years probation and will have to perform 360 hours of community service. The funny part about this whole thing is Tyson will have to wear a black-and-white jump suit and wear pink underwear. So unless you want to look as stupid as Mike, don't get in trouble!

  • NBA star Gilbert Arenas will be out of action for three months after it was revealed he had a cartilage tear in his left knee.
  • After four losing seasons, Glen Hanlon was fired as head coach of the Washington Capitols. He will be replaced by minor league coach Bruce Boudreau.
  • MLB All Star Torii Hunter signed a 5-year, $90 million deal with the Los Angeles Angels on Wednesday. Hunter left the Minnesota Twins, where he spent the last 10 years of his career.
  • The Boston Celtics finally lost a game. After winning their first eight games, they finally fell to the Orlando Magic 104-102 on Sunday.
