You may not be able to see the flick but you can still listen to the tunes from American Pie 2. And let's face it, the soundtrack can sometimes be better than the movie anyway. This soundtrack is full of rockin' tunes from all the artists you love.

It's got all your faves like Blink-182, Green Day, American Hi-Fi, Uncle Kracker, 3 Doors Down, Sum 41 and Left Front Tire. Most of the songs have a few things in common. The majority are all upbeat with hard driving fast guitars and fast drumbeats. It's a great party soundtrack or one to just hang out and listen to with your friends. I'm sure the producers had it all figured out when they planned the soundtrack. After all, movie tunes in a popular movie can become big radio tunes.

Blink's Every Time I Look For You, from their latest CD, sets the tone followed by a hard to find Green Day song called Scumbag. This cool song previously appeared on the flip side of the single Warning and hasn't appeared on any other album.

Most of the CD is made up of bands fronted by male lead singers except for two tunes that have girls singing the lead vocals. The American Pie 2 Soundtrack is a high energy CD but after a couple of songs they all kind of blend together. Most of the bands have the same vocal style - fast thrashy guitars and drum beats - so you start to wonder where one song ends and the next one begins. I would still recommend it though cuz half of the songs are great.
