Incubus Concert Review

Kidzworld got to see Incubus as they rocked it in Vancouver, Canada on September 3, 2002! The band is currently on their North American Morning View tour.

Where: Vancouver, Canada
September 3, 2002

Before the lights even dimmed for the opening band I was starting to shake. In a matter of seconds, 30 Seconds to Mars would jump onstage and standing not even 30 feet away from me would be Jared Leto, Hollywood actor turned rock band frontman.

You would think due to my crazy obsession, actually seeing the band would not be that great but I was not let down at all. 30 Seconds to Mars had everyone on the floor jumpin' around and singing along, especially to their newly released single, Capricorn. And, although my night was complete after seeing Jared Leto rock out, most of the peeps at the concert were really only there to see the headliners - Incubus. And they weren't let down either.

The concert only got better when Brandon Boyd and gang wandered onto the stage. The boys of Incubus were welcomed by thousands of screaming fans, with an equal number of boys and girls going crazy for them.

Brandon Boyd belted out single after single, singing Drive, Wish You Were Here, Nice to Know You and tons of new stuff from their latest CD, Morning View. We were singing along for the entire one-hour and 45 minute show!

Incubus also had some huge screens that played some super-cool videos to go along with many of their songs. Their was often a backdrop of stars which really set the mood when Brandon Boyd and guitar player, Mike Einziger lounged on a couple of couches to play some acoustic stuff. And holy cool 'fro on Mike. He looked like he walked straight out of the 70s.

If you haven't seen Incubus, and have a chance to catch a show on their Morning View Tour, then rush out and get tickets NOW! You won't be disappointed!

Incubus is my favorite band in the whole entire universe. They have been my favorite band for almost 4 years. I have only seen them live one time so far, and it was the best concert I have ever been to. I will always be an Incubus supporter. I LOVE THEM! :)
