By: Sindy Qyeendom is an 11 year old rapper, hip-hop artist, and KW Zone member who's had over 400 000 views on her myspace page. Kidzworld chatted with this up and coming performer.
Sindy: Hi Qyeendom! I’m really interested, how did you get started as a rapper? You’re so young!
Qyeendom: My parents supported all of us in what we wanted to do and I really liked rapping and hip-hop and was good at it, so I kept rapping and writing and my dad helped a lot.
Sindy: Who do you look up to in the entertainment industry? Who are some of your favorite artists?
Qyeendom: I really like Ciara a lot, and Chris Brown, Beyonce.
Sindy: Of your songs, which is your favorite song to perform? Why do you like that one?
Qyeendom: My favorite to perform is WHOIBE, because it’s really fun and catchy and has a good message.
Sindy: What kind of things do you like to do when you’re not working on your music?
Qyeendom: Normal things, school, hanging out with friends and my family, I have seven brothers and sisters. I like to read and write lyrics.
Sindy: What’s up next for you as far as recording or performing?
Qyeendom: Right now I’m focused on recording in the studio, so far I have ten songs for my debut album.
Sindy: What would you say is the most important thing about getting into the music business?
Qyeendom: Well, it’s a lot of hard work but it’s worth it because it’s really fun.
