Sindy:: Hi Laura, where are you calling from?
Laura Ann:I’m in L.A. at home, down in Redondo Beach, California. The weather’s sunny!
Sindy:: Can you tell me a bit about working on Bedtime Stories?
Laura Ann:Sure, Bedtime Stories was a fun movie to act in. It’s my first film and I couldn’t pick a better one to work on—I watch Disney Channel all the time.
Sindy:: What’s your favorite show on Disney Channel?
Laura Ann:: I like Wizards of Waverly Place.
Sindy:: What was your favorite scene to shoot in Bedtime Stories?
Laura Ann:I think [Ancient] Greece and the Medieval [scenes] were my favorites.
Sindy:: What was it like working with Adam Sandler? Was he funny?
Laura Ann:It was good, he was really funny! We played with his dog off and on the set so I had fun with him.
Sindy:: What kind of dog did he have?
Laura Ann:He had a bulldog—we’d always hold his leash but he’d be really still and wouldn’t pull us around.
Sindy:: Nice—sounds like a well-trained dog! Did your parents read you bedtime stories when you were younger? Do you have a favorite?!
Laura Ann:My parents read me Disney princess stories when I was a little kid—they don’t anymore but they read me Strawberry Shortcake and they used to read me other stories about alphabets sometimes.
Sindy:: Do you like to read on your own?
Laura Ann:: I like my parents to read to me because I like it better.
Sindy:: Yeah, it’s nice to be read to. What do you like to do besides act? What are your hobbies?
Laura Ann:: I like to go to the park with my dad and play here at home and watch TV. I just got some roller skates so I’m hoping when I get a little bit better I can go to a park and ride.
Sindy:: Cool! So your mom is a famous golfer—Danielle Ammaccapane—do you play golf too?
Laura Ann:: I can hit balls but I don’t play like my mom does.
Sindy:: Have you been to the driving range?
Laura Ann:: Yeah, I’ve been to the driving range and I hit quite a few balls but I don’t play like on tour or anything. (laughs)
Sindy:: Are there other sports you like to play?
Laura Ann:: I like to play soccer, basketball and swimming.
Sindy:: You were on How I Met Your Mother recently, right?
Laura Ann:: Yeah, that was fun—it was a short little part but I still had fun on it.
Sindy:: Do you have any other projects coming up?
Laura Ann:: I actually did Desperate Housewives just a few weeks ago and I’m hoping I get a TV show—it doesn’t have a name yet because it’s brand new. I hope I get that because I’d be on almost every week. I’m up for a movie too—Date Night.
Sindy:: What's your favorite movie?
Laura Ann:: I like Race to Witch Mountain.
Sindy:: Do you mean the new version or the old one?
Laura Ann:: The new one that just came out in theatres.
Sindy:: Who would you love to work with?
Laura Ann:: Dwayne "the Rock" Johnson.
Sindy:: Do you have any advice for young people who want to get into acting?
Laura Ann:: Just have fun!
