Iron Man 2, Monster Racers, and Picross 3D

Apr 30, 2010

Keep up-to-date with all the latest video game releases! Kidzworld has all the latest games to keep watch for. This week, we preview Iron Man 2, Monster Racers, and Picross 3D!

Iron Man 2

The Iron Man film trilogy continues with Iron Man 2, and the video game to go along with it has some surprises of its own. First off, you can play not just as Iron Man, but also War Machine, who brings in the big guns at some cost to his agility. The game's story is totally separate from the film, letting you take on the classic villain Crimson Dynamo. The game lets you blow through walls or enemy vehicles with the true power of Tony Stark and his suit, which you decide how to upgrade as the game goes along. Game developers SEGA have even hinted at a final boss the size of a skyscraper that's bound to surprise gamers out there.

Monster Racers

Developer Koei is most famous for their Dynasty Warriors beat-em-up games, so Monster Racers, a creature-collector racing RPG, is a big change for them. This DS game lets you collect and customize "cute," "cool," and "small" creatures before taking them out and racing them against one another. The race depends on a lot of factors, including elements and your ability to mess with the other players' creatures. A bit like racing with Pokemon, with even more cool RPG elements to try out.

Picross 3D

This sequel to the original mind-bending DS puzzle game Picross adds an entirely new dimension to play. Literally. The last game, in which you strategically remove blocks to make cool pictures, was 2D, but now they've upped the difficulty level with 3D block-bustin' gameplay, which complicates things. Imagine a kind of 3D mix of sudoku and minesweeper for the gameplay, and you'll almost have it right. The DS game comes with 350 puzzles originally, with monthly downloads coming in to add to the fun, and you can make your own puzzles as well.
