FIFA Soccer 12, Ico and Shadow of the Colossus Collection, and National Geographic Challenge!

Sep 26, 2011

It's been raining quite a bit here at Kidzworld HQ and the signs of summer are all but gone. However, there are still other things to look forward to, such as holidays and video games. This week, we're looking at FIFA Soccer 12, Ico and Shadow of the Colossus Collection, and National Geographic Challenge.

FIFA 12

The beautiful game returns once more, this time coming back with three major gameplay features: improved impact engine, tactical defending, and precision dribbling. The new impact engine makes for more realistic collisions. Tactical defending allows you to work your team's positioning so that they can better intercept passes and trap dribblers. Precision dribbling gets around that, however, as you can finally move and guard at the same time, dribbling while shielding.

Ico and Shadow of the Colossus Collection

Two Playstation classics return with revamped graphics in a single collection. Ico is a love story of sorts, where a boy must protect a girl from shadow creatures. Shadow of the Colossus is also a love story of sorts as a man tries to bring his wife back to life by hunting down and killing giant mythological creatures in epic battle after epic battle.

National Geographic Challenge!

Up to four players can face off in this fun quiz game. You don't need to be an expert of answer the 4,000 possible questions in the game, just have some speed and good intuition! Topics include geography, history, and art and come with lots of amazing pictures as well as over 60 minutes of video footage. There are also mini-games, such as puzzles, anagrams, and riddles, as well as an additional 1,000 questions that can be downloaded.
