Surviving School Until Summer

May 25, 2019

School is almost out, but the key word in this sentence is almost. You still have to keep your head in the game. This is important because you want to finish strong and feel confident about next year. Leaving a lasting impression is paramount to your future success.

Why should I keep my head in the game?

Well you’ve come this far, so why give up now? Plus summer is literally aroud the corner. Freedom awaits but you have to be patient and work for it. School is still important even when it is coming to a close.

Summer is almost here, but you've got to get through school first.Summer is almost here, but you've got to get through school first.

Here are some things you could do to keep your mind on school:

  1. Do all your readings and assignments
  2. Study for tests
  3. Go to class
  4. Finish your extracular activites with enthusiasm
  5. Have a good attitude about the end of the yea

Why This Can Be Hard:

Your finding assignments to be less challenging and this demotivates you. Don’t let it. Even if your class is watching a movie that day, try to stay mindful and try to participate no matter what. It has been a long year and you deserve some rest, but that doesn’t mean you just check out.

If school were a job you wouldn’t suddenly stop producing because your going on vacation, would you?

School is still worth your attention.School is still worth your attention.

Start Strong, Finish Strong

School is something you can start off successfully from beginning to end. Its also a great time to show improvments, for example you might have come a long way throughout the school year, and this is your time to be proud of your turnaround. Progression is one of the most important things and if you’ve made some this semester it’s time to hold your head up high.

Why this is hard?

It’s practically summer and it’s nice out. You likely want to be outdoors and not stuck in a classroom, but remind yourself it’s only a little while longer. You’ll be out in no time, just give it a little time.

Your teachers and peers will be impressed and possibly influenced by your dedication. By keeping your mind on school, you could become an inspiration to many.

We know it’s not easy, there are so many distractions now as you want to build your summer plan, but there’s plenty of time for that. It’s best to finish one thing and then move on to the next thing.

Remember to study. Remember to study.

I know of students who start off strong and want to remain that level of consistency. Students want to start strong and finish strong. This could be you. Even if you didn’t start strong, you have the chance to finish strong.

School is your place of learning so get your head in the right place and learn a little more before summer. You might even have final projects and exams which are really important. You want to be prepared for those, and any other work that may come your way.

It’s not always easy, especially when summer is so close, but you can do it. Find that strength within yourself and put your brain to the test. Focus on what’s in front of you and try not to look ahead too much. Daydreaming about summer will only distract you from your school work, and you don’t want that. Do the best you can, and give what you’ve got left in you to give, but don’t’ be afraid to finish strong.
