It’s the spookiest time of year with Halloween only a week away! If you’re hiding from real-life ghosts and goblins from the safety of your couch, we’ve got the perfect scary-ish! movies and tv shows for you to put on to get into the fall-iday spirit. See what you should watch tonight!

Halloween Classics

Break out the Netflix DVDs or On Demand, because it’s time to watch (or rewatch!) our favorite Halloween movies. These one’s aren’t available for streaming as of right now, but are worth the extra effort to see.

It isn’t Halloween without at least a dozen mentions of fan-favorite Hocus Pocus. The Disney movie from 1993 stars Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy as evil witches who have to be stopped by three kids to prevent the witches from living forever.

Tim Burton’s Beetlejuice, which stars Michael Keaton, Alec Baldwin, Winona Ryder, Geena Davis, and Catherine O’Hara follows the ghosts who are haunting the house they lived in while alive and the spirit they hire in order to scare away the new occupants.

If you love Christmas just as much as you love Halloween, then The Nightmare Before Christmas is the perfect movie for you! Halloweentown’s pumpkin king, Jack Skellington, discovers Christmastown and decides to kidnap Santa in order to control the town. There are a lot of great songs in this one!

Halloweentown, a Disney Channel Original Movie from 1998 is available on Disney Now. It’s the story of 13 year old Marnie, who finds out that she comes from a family of witches battling evil forces in Halloweentown, the one place Halloween magical creatures can live openly.

Maybe you’ve already watched them all, but if you haven’t tuned in to "Stranger Things" on Netflix, there’s no time like the Halloween season! The spooky and spine-tingling events of the Upside Down provide the perfect amount of scares fro the spookiest time of year.

Cult classic tv show "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" is available on Hulu. Watch Sarah Michelle Gellar battle demon after ghoul after monster from the underworld on all seven seasons of this show. If you like "Stranger Things" but are looking for something new to watch, this is a great choice!
