A Wrinkle In Time DVD Review

Dec 27, 2006

Based on the 1963 Newbery medal winning children's novel by Madeleine L'Engle, A Wrinkle In Time takes three children on a magical journey which leaves them believing that anything is possible!

A Wrinkle In Time - The Adventure

Meg (Katie Stuart) and her little brother, Charles Wallace (The Ring's David Dorfman) are brilliant loners who are deeply saddened when their astrophysicist father, Dr.Murry, leaves the family to work on a classified assignment. On a quiet night at home, a crow flies through their kitchen door and turns into Mrs.Whatsit (oscar-nominated actress Alfre Woodard), a fairy-like, celestial being. She speaks to them briefly about the mysterious Tesseract and disappears quickly into the night sky. When messages from Mrs.Whatsit appear in a home video, Meg, Charles Wallace and their neighbor Calvin O'Keefe (Everwood's Gregory Smith) set out to discover the truth about Dr.Murry's whereabouts.

A Wrinkle In Time - The Tesseract

With the help of Mrs.Whatsit, the children are transported to a magical place where they meet Mrs.Who and Mrs.Which. They learn that the Tesseract acts as a gateway to other parts of the universe - a wrinkle in time. Mrs.Whatsit explains that an evil darkness has consumed the planet Camazotz and will soon takeover the earth. With Mrs.Which and the Tesseract guiding them, the children must go to Camazots, find Dr.Murry and defeat the evil Prime Coordinator - before the darkness takes over the earth and its too late!
