One Directions new album FOUR has been one of the most highly anticipated of the year, check out the Kidzworld Album Review!

FOUR

For at least three years One Direction have been on top of the charts - pretty impressive for five guys who met auditioning for a televised singing competition. They've come a long way since first auditioning for Simon Cowell on the UK X Factor and forming the band, and it's surprising to see a boy band come out with a record that has such classic retro inspired tunes. Through the fame, films and constant touring One Direction have managed to put out solidly good records every time, and FOUR is no exception. They've also managed to avoid breaking up, or looking ridiculous in public like other pop singers recently (hint, hint Justin Bieber.)

Don't get us wrong, it's still a pop record, but in many of the tracks you can hear 70's and 80's inspiration, and even a little bit of classic R&B thrown in. While Midnight Memories was full of the regular boy band ballads and hard hitting pop songs, FOUR is a little more subtle - and a little more interesting. "Where Do Broken Hearts Go" is like something straight out of an 80s synth-metal album, which a chorus you'll want to scream along to, while "Spaces," "Girl Almighty" and "Ready to Run" have more of a retro pop rock vibe that'll get your parents humming along with you. "Steal My Girl" may be the most popular single, but "Fireproof" is the absolute stand out on the album, it'll make fans fall right back in love with the band (if you ever stopped loving them that is.) We think this album is "fireproof" and guess what? We're giving it a FOUR!
