Made in Manchester

These four lads all hail from Manchester, England. Jake and Danny first started writing music together after leaving school. Danny's parents are both in the entertainment biz, so finding his musical talent was no surprise for him. For three years Jake and Danny worked on songs, and played covers at pubs and venues around Manchester - they even lived in a caravan in the Danny's family's backyard to make ends meet and pursue their talent. When they came across Charley, they knew they'd found the perect lead guitarist for the band. Charley had years of experience performing in a pop punk band, and knew all about rocking out, he quickly turned up the edge on their R&B sound. When they found drummer Lewi, he also brought some hardcore rock skills to the group.

Over a couple of years they had earned a solid local following in Manchester, and were also getting hits by performing R&B covers of artists like Usher and R. Kelly and uploading them to YouTube, but strangely enough what caught the eye of Scooter Braun (the talent manager famous for working with Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande) was a fun cover of they posted of "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" ( when we say fun, we mean elf hats and everything)! Within 24 hours they were impressing Scooter in person.

Let the Road

After the whirlwind of being discovered and signing to a record label, the band got to work on the album Let the Road - in between opening for major acts like Justin Bieber! The album's first single "Me and My Broken Heart", reached platinum on the US charts, and reached number one on the UK charts in 2014.

Recorded in New York City with some of the top producers, Let the Road has a little of everything - reggae, rock, and R&B.

“One of the things we’re most proud of is that we’ve managed to take these songs that have meant a lot to us for so long, and finally get them onto an album. Even though we’ve performed them so many times over the past years, the meaning is still as strong as ever for us, and we’re just really happy to put them out into the world,” said Danny.

Rixton are opening for Ariana Grande on her European and North American tours, and will follow up by opening for Ed Sheeran.
