Though there was a ton of superhero-related news coming out of San Diego Comic-Con, there were a few announcements made surrounding some games on Nintendo's awesome handheld/console hybrid the Nintendo Switch, especially if you're a fan of multiplayer gaming. While there's a bit of a wait for that Dragon Ball FighterZ release on Switch, fans of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe can dive right into the new content immediately.

Breath of the Wild in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe

The latest Mario Kart on Nintendo Switch threw in a few non-Mario characters like the Inklings from Splatoon and Link from the Zelda series, also we got an odd marketing deal that including Mercedes-Benz karts to the roster. The latest update is a small but welcome inclusion from Breath of the Wild. Now you can choose either classic Link or Link in his blue Champions' Tunic from the latest Zelda-outing on top of a new vehicle: The Master Cycle Zero. Fans of Breath of the Wild's DLC, The Champions' Ballad, may recognize this bike as the reward for finishing all of the game's additional content which will make your trek across Hyrule a breeze. This new content is also completely free, so boot up the game now to download it.

Dragon Ball FighterZ's New Multiplayer Modes on Switch

Earlier this year, Dragon Ball FighterZ launched and quickly became one of the best entries in the long, long, long, running series. It impressed us so much that it earned a perfect score in our review of the initial launch on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The game was so great that the natural next question had to be, "when is it coming to Nintendo Switch?" During Nintendo's E3 2018 Direct Showcase, we got our first look at the game running on the Switch alongside a confirmation of the September 28th release date. A recent tweet from Namco Bandai confirmed that we could get an early taste of the game through a Switch beta coming in August.

The beta's date isn't specific but that's not the only news we have about the Switch version of FighterZ. Through a tweet, publisher Bandai Namco confirmed a few new local multiplayer modes including 2v2 and 1v1 matches alongside "Offline 6-player Party Match mode." The game is getting a pair of cool pre-order bonuses too including the game's blue-haired versions of Goku and Vegeta called SSGSS Goku and SSGSS Vegeta but even better is the inclusion of a download code for the SNES game Dragon Ball Fighter Z: Super Butoden. This news comes alongside the confirmation that we'd be getting DLC for Base Goku and Base Vegeta, meaning the traditional black-haired, AKA not Super Saiyan, version of the fighters.

Hopefully FighterZ can maintain the high quality visuals when ported onto the Nintendo Switch.Hopefully FighterZ can maintain the high quality visuals when ported onto the Nintendo Switch.
