GenCon 2003 Convention Card Game Tournaments

GenCon 2003 is the biggest game convention in the world and it's happening in Indianapolis, Indiana from July 24-27, 2003. GenCon has trading card games (TCGs,) board games, miniature games, strategy games, video games and more! It also has some of the biggest collectible card game (CCG) tournaments in the world, with some of the biggest prizes too. Check out the prizes for Dragonball Z, Magic: The Gathering, Pokemon, Star Wars and Yu-Gi-Oh! card game championships!

DBZ Card Game World Championship 2003 Tournament

The Super-Saiyans are ready to kick butt at GenCon with the Dragonball Z CCG World Championships. The battles start at 10am on Saturday July 26, 2003 and will still be going on Sunday July 27, 2003. The best DBZ player will walk away with $5,000 US ($7,500 CAN,) the 2003 DBZ World Champion Card, plus exclusive promo cards!

And, GenCon peeps will be the first to get their hands on the new Yu Yu Hakusho TCG from Score. Everybody else will have to wait 'til September 15, 2003 when it hits stores.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Card Game Tournaments

The Yu-Gi-Oh! World Championships aren't happening 'til August 10, 2003 but if you're ready to duel, GenCon is the place to be! There'll be Yu-Gi-Oh! tournaments 24 hours a day for four days straight. So, make sure to load up on cola and get ready to duel non-stop.

Yu-Gi-Oh! duelists at GenCon will also be the first to see, and buy, the new Pharaonic Guardian cards. If that isn't enough, there'll also be the brand-new Marvel Trading Card Game that'll let you fight battles between your fave comic book superheroes like Wolverine, Cyclops and more. The Marvel TCG is being released in September 2003, but you'll be able to duel in July at GenCon 2003 - and pick up a giant Nightcrawler promo card too!
