Game Boy Advance Update

Dec 27, 2006

The Tokyo Game Show just finished its yearly display of games. It gave Nintendo a chance to bring out their latest and greatest toys and show them off to the public. This means that the Game Boy Advance (GBA) has finally been tested. Is it good? Is it bad? Does it work?

It works and it's good. The graphics aren't the stupendously super-duper graphics everyone was hoping for but they're a big step up from the Game Boy Color (GBC.) The only problem with the graphics is that your old GBC light isn't going to work too well on the GBA. The sound is rough, but that's cuz tiny speakers always suck. Once you plug in your headphones, you'll get some seriously good tunes.

Wanna know something cool? The GBA is kid-sized. It's a little awkward to use if you've got huge hands but perfect for smaller fingers and thumbs. They've also come out with a new color. Now you can pick from: Indigo, Arctic, Glacier and new Milky Pink for your GBA.

Here's a couple of the games you can play right now if you have a Japanese GBA:

Game Name What it's About
Super Mario Advance Super Mario 2, on the smallscreen.
Chu Chu Rocket Maze Puzzles.
F-Zero: Maximum Velocity Futuristic Racing.
Castlevania: Circle of the Moon Vampire Hunting Action.
Powerful Pro Kun Baseball Super Baseball Fun.
Super Street Fighter II Revival Fighting Action.

The GBA is finished, it works, it has games and it's good. Now why don't they hurry up and get it out here for us!

If you're sick of waiting for the Game Boy Advance, let .
