Victoria Justice Interview (pg. 2)

Dec 27, 2006

Sindy: Do you spend time with your Zoey 101 co-stars outside of the show?

Victoria Justice: Yes, a lot of time. We go to a lot of charity events and premieres together on the weekends - movies, out to dinner and just hanging out. Matt, Erin, and I seem to spend the most time together. We really love hanging out with each other. I also see Chris Massey a lot and his brother Kyle, (AKA Corey on That's So Raven). We're really goofy and crazy when we hang out; we all just get along really well. Jamie goes back to LA whenever she gets a break, so we don't really see her off the set.

Sindy: Does Britney ever hang out on set?

Victoria Justice: I wouldn't say hang out, but she definitely has visited the set. She visited more for the second season when we filmed in Malibu, because she lives in Malibu. Also, she was pregnant with her first, so it was much easier for her.

Sindy: Favorite thing to do when you're not working?

Victoria Justice: Besides sleeping in, that would have to be catching up on movies, hanging out with my friends and shopping of course!

Sindy: What shows are you looking forward to this fall?

Victoria Justice: As for new shows... Hmmmm... I haven't had a chance to really see any but I heard Ugly Betty was good, and Heroes, and of course I'll be watching the new season of The Office. But I absolutely cannot wait to see the new season of American Idol!

Sindy: What's playing on your MP3 player right now?

Victoria Justice: Black Eyed Peas (all of their songs), Jack Johnson - Good People and Barry Manilow, I love him! I'm a fanilow!

Sindy: Favorite movie?

Victoria Justice: I just recently rented The Breakfast Club and Almost Famous and I loved them both. I also love Edward Scissorhands with Johnny Depp.

Sindy: Favorite actor or actress? Why?

Victoria Justice: This is always a hard question to answer because I have so many that I like for different reasons. I always have my favorites - Hilary Swank, Reese Witherspoon and so many others. I just saw a movie that I really liked called The Devil Wears Prada and I loved Meryl Streep's character. She has now been added to my list.

Sindy: Favorite food?

Victoria Justice: Steak... I'm such a carnivore! Also, for dessert I love creme brule!

Sindy: Item of clothing you can't live without?

Victoria Justice: It would have to be my oversized gray hooded sweatshirt. It's so comfy and it comes in handy for those chilly California mornings.

Sindy: Where do you see yourself in five years? In ten years?

Victoria Justice: In five years I'll be 18, so I will be a senior in my last year of high school. I would love to be on a TV series that films mostly over the summer so I can still go to the senior prom and enjoy other things that the average kid would. I would like to have those memories.

In 10 years I will be 23 years old, and hopefully I will have graduated from college by then. I'm not sure what I'll have my degree in, probably something to do with the film business. I also hope to still be an actress.

Sindy: What advice would you give to kids wanting to break into the entertainment business?

Victoria Justice: I would have to say that you should always keep working hard and to never give up. If you don't live in LA or New York, and your parents just can't pick up and move here, then you have to find ways to keep training in your local area. There are always theater groups, local acting classes, vocal and dance classes, which will all help with your confidence in performing in front of an audience and sharpen your skills at the same time. It will also help you to find out if it's really for you. Some kids just want to be famous, and then after taking a few acting classes decide it's not for them. I have two personal friends that did this. This way, you'll save your parents money if you're not serious about it. If after taking classes you decide you really like it, you should then look for an agent. I think you should make sure you're absolutely ready before you go out on auditions. The most important thing in an audition is to feel that you gave it your best.
