The summer is packed with outdoor activities and gaming news! This week we have tons of news for you, starting with Pokemon card game tournaments and EA's upcoming skate video game. We also have the word on Starcraft II, Nintendo Wii hackers getting busted and exclusive Kidzworld-only previews of two new Naruto games! Naruto: Clash of Ninja Revolution Exclusive Preview Pictures!

The Wii is getting another dose of Naruto this fall with Naruto: Clash of Ninja Revolution, a new fighting game based on the hit anime. With 14 characters, six stages, eight game modes and three mini-games designed for the Wiimote, there's a whole lot of ninja action on the way. Naruto: Path of the Ninja Exclusive Preview Pictures!

Arriving for the Nintendo DS in fall 2007, Naruto: Path of the Ninja is the first Naruto RPG game in North America! You'll be able to choose from six characters as you play the hero in a brand-new Naruto adventure and battle enemies with a time-based combat system. EA's skate Coming in September!

Electronic Arts is going head-to-head with Tony Hawk this September with their upcoming skate video game for Xbox 360 and PS3. The name of the game is getting famous enough to get your face on two different magazines. It's already won awards like "Best Sports Game of E3 - IGN Xbox 360" and "Game Critics Awards: Best of E3 2007" so the Hawk is in for a rough year!

Pokemon TCG: Diamond & Pearl - Mysterious Treasures

The upcoming Pokemon card game expansion - Diamond & Pearl: Mysterious Treasures is coming on August 22, 2007, but you can get a taste of the new cards early with the preview tournaments! These tournaments will be held on the weekends of Aug 11-12, 2007, Aug 18-19, 2007 and Aug 25-26, 2007. Each tournament has an entry fee that hooks you up with six 10-card booster packs of the new cards that you use to build a deck. Then you compete in one of three divisions:
  • Junior Division - Born in 1996 or later.
  • Senior Division - Born in 1992-1995.
  • Masters Division - Born in 1991 or earlier.

  • Not only do you get to catch the newest Pokemon before anybody else, you also get a special prerelease promo card and promo item!

  • Starcraft II - The Legendary Game Returns!

    The original Starcraft dropped in 1997 with the Terran, Protoss and Zerg armies at your command in fantastic battles on alien planets. Now Blizzard is taking the legendary game up a notch with Starcraft II! The game is being updated to 3D and will have another excellent campaign to play, plus all the incredible online multiplayer that made the original Starcraft so popular. Plus, each race has new units! Here's the 411 on what the Protoss have, plus pictures.
    Protoss Units
  • Colossus - A huge insect-like robot with twin thermal lances for close-range blasting.
  • Immortal - Tank-like troops with heavy cannons and powerful shields.
  • Phase Prism - Airships that can teleport groups of troops around and power nearby Protoss buildings.
  • Phoenix - A laser-blasting starfighter that can overload for massive firepower!
  • Stalker - Teleporting vehicles with guns that can attack ground and air troops.
  • Twilight Archon - A psionic templar that can fire blasts of psychic lightning!
  • Warp Ray - An airship that fires a beam of concentrated firepower.
  • Zealot - Twin sword wielding footsoldiers, the most basic Protoss troop.

    Nintendo Wii Hackers get Busted!

    August 1, 2007 sucked for hackers as the U.S. Immigrations and Customs Enforcement agents went hog-wild and busted 32 groups of hackers that were modifying Nintendo Wii consoles to play counterfeit Wii games. The anti-hacker party was the result of a lot of hard work from the Department of Homeland Security and Nintendo, who worked closely with them to help bust the Wii hackers.
