Top 10 Scariest Cartoon Villains

Apr 15, 2016

Oh sure, the good guys always get all of the attention. But they'd be delivering pizzas without bad guys (and gals) to fight. We're taking a look at some of the baddest villains in the game. Check it out!

#10. Scariest Cartoon Villains - Dr. Claw

It's been said that the only thing scarier than the seen is the unseen. If that's true, Inspector Gadget's Dr. Claw is one of the scariest dudes around. With only one arm ever visible, we can only imagine what sort of monster Dr.Claw looks like. If his gravelly voice, fearsome schemes and bad-to-the bone feline, MAD Cat, are any clue, Dr. Claw puts the "ill" in "villain".

#9. Scariest Cartoon Villains - Ursula

Half octopus, half mermaid, Ursula is ALL villain. This Little Mermaid villain has an evil brand of magic that often turns mer-people to plant-like wisps of their former selves. She's also the only water witch capable of taking on Titan himself. Ursula's pet eels should definitely win the award for "Creepiest Villain Sidekicks." Ick!

#8. Scariest Cartoon Villains - The Joker

Clowns are weird enough as it is - the painted on smiles, the garish outfits - but when you add in The Joker's terrifying schemes and devilish grin, you have the makings of a truly repulsive antihero. Is there a scarier villain in the marvel world? Riddle me that, Batman.

#7. Scariest Cartoon Villains - Doctor Doom

The Four might be Fantastic, but Doctor Doom is genuinely evil! Once a brilliant scientist (and Reed Richard's former classmate), he became and cruel and bitter villain after an experiment gone wrong caused him to be disfigured. The worst part is that he can't even be made responsible for his crimes because he has diplomatic immunity! That's right, this super-bad dude is the leader of the fictional country of Latveria.

#6. Scariest Cartoon Villains - Megatron

Optimus Prime's nemesis, Megatron, is the ultimate Transformers villain. The Decepticon leader is a cold, heartless rival who doesn't have an ounce of compassion in his steely body. If he's not scary enough in robot form, just wait until he turns into a pistol! He's more than meets the eye!

#5. Scariest Cartoon Villains - Cruella de Vil

She may be one of the most glamorous villains around, but don't be fooled by the rocks that she's got! Cruella de Vil is so repugnantly villainous that she is actually enemy number one to the puppies of the world. You've got to be some kind of evil to take on puppies (especially a particular 101 of them).

#4. Scariest Cartoon Villains - Shredder

Covered in an armor of blades, Shredder has got to be one of the sharpest villains around. This nemesis to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is a fearsome ninjutsu master who has considerable fighting skills (unlike his sidekicks Bebop and Rocksteady). He wasn't the hardest bad guy to beat on the TMNT series, but in comic book land he is known to have killed millions of people!

#3. Scariest Cartoon Villains - Naraku

Naraku means "Hell" or "underworld" in Japanese, and it's a fitting name for this InuYasha bad guy. His Shredder-like outfit (spikes are very in right now in the villain community) and status as a half-demon are enough to gives us the willies. But it was his re-emergence as a white baboon pelt with a scary looking mouth that landed Naraku in the top three.

#2. Scariest Cartoon Villains - Venom

Spider-Man's arch-enemy is one scary looking dude. His bug eyes and dark powers are enough to give you nightmares, but it's his alien-style fangs that really freak us out. Venom and his symbiotic suit have all of Spider-Man's powers but none of his Spidey morals, and that's a dangerous combination.

#1. Scariest Cartoon Villains - Skeletor

With a nickname like The Evil Lord of Destruction, you know this guy is bad news. This evil sorcerer from Masters of the Universe has a skull for a face and is a demon from the dimension Infinita. He has a host of mystical powers including telepathy and the ability to move things with his mind. It's pretty hard to out manouver a guy like that.
