Aug 07, 2015

This week we learned all about the new expansion for World of Warcraft, which includes a level cap raised to 110 and the return of the Burning Legion. Peter Dinklage’s voice work in Destiny wasn’t good enough and now he’s been recast and Nintendo set a release date for a pack of new miibos! Check out the details below.

World of Warcraft: Legion Announced

Today Blizzard announced the sixth expansion for the MMORPG World of Warcraft, called World of Warcraft: Legion. When this expansion hits store and the Internet, we’re going to see the return of Gul’dan and the Burning Legion. We’ll have a new hero class “Demon Hunter,” artifact weapons that allow you to earn power to unlock new abilities and traits and customize, a new continent called The Broken Isles where we’ll get to check out the Emerald Nightmare, Order halls with missions for each class, a new PVP honor system and a level cap of 110. You’ll also be able to boost a character to level 100.

“In World of Warcraft: Legion, the stakes for the Alliance and the Horde are higher than ever, so we’re putting some of Azeroth’s deadliest forces directly in players’ hands,” said Mike Morhaime, CEO and cofounder of Blizzard Entertainment. “Whether they’re wreaking havoc as a Demon Hunter or unlocking awesome new abilities for their Artifact, players will develop their characters’ power in ways they never have before.”

No release date yet, but you can sign up for the beta at battle.net.

Peter Dinklage from Game of Thrones Replaced in Destiny

"Game of Thrones" star Peter Dinklage voices the A.I. helper Ghost in Destiny and has been roundly criticized for his work. We’re sure you’ve seen the memes. Well, Bungie heard your complaints. Dinklage’s role has been recast. Ghost will now be voiced by Nolan North, who voices the lead in the Uncharted games. He’ll do the voice no only going forward, but he’ll re-record all the earlier lines. Poor Peter.
