Yu-Gi-Oh! champions know how to duel and they use the best decks in the world. Your skill is all up to you, but anybody can build an awesome deck if they know what combos to use. Here's the most brutal deck combo used by the champion duelists at the 2004 Yu-Gi-Oh! National Championships!

Magical Scientist!

The Yu-Gi-Oh! Magical Scientist Deck Strategy

This deck combo can do the scariest thing in the entire Yu-Gi-Oh! game. It can win in one turn. How? Here are the cards that make it work:
  • Cannon Soldier

This dude is nothing special, but he can launch your monsters at your opponent to cause 500 damage, destroying the monster in the process. He can even launch himself!
  • Catapult Turtle

A turtle? Yep, but a turtle that can launch monsters at your opponent. While this critter is in play, you can launch any of your creatures at your opponent and destroy the monsters to do half of the monster's power in damage to their life points.
  • Fusion Monsters

Get any seven fusion monsters with up to six stars and 2100 attack or higher. Stuff 'em into your Fusion deck - Empress Judge/Punished Eagle/Roaring Ocean Snake work perfectly if you can get 'em. You don't even need to be able to summon them, they just have to be there.
  • Last Will

This Spell card lets you bring in another monster from your deck when one of yours dies. With two of these you can summon in the Magical Scientist and the Catapult Turtle, even on the same turn! As soon as you do, your opponent is toast.
  • Magical Scientist

This 300/300 skinny lil' nerd of a creature doesn't look scary, but his power to bring huge monsters from your Fusion deck into play for 1000 life is terrifying.

Cannon Soldier! Last Will! Catapult Turtle!

Those are the cards, now here's how the Yu-Gi-Oh! one-turn-win combo works:
    1 - Play a Cannon Soldier.
2 - Have the Cannon Soldier launch himself at your opponent for 500 damage.
3 - As your Cannon Soldier is destroyed, play two Last Will cards to put Catapult Turtle and Magical Scientist into play.
4 - Use the Magical Scientist's power to summon 7 monsters with 2100 attack from your Fusion deck. These monsters can't attack, so it seems useless but just wait...
5 - Use the Catapult Turtle to launch all 7 monsters at your opponent for 1050 damage each. That makes 7350 damage, plus the 500 from earlier for a total of 7850 damage.
6 - To finish off your opponent, load the nerd (Magical Scientist) into the Catapult Turtle and let fly to cause 150 damage. This makes for a total of 8000 damage. Boom, one toast opponent.

    1Yu-Gi-Oh! question:
When I read the description of the Magical Scientist 1-turn-win thing, it says to summon seven Fusion Monsters, but that is impossible because there are only five monster places on the field.

    Hey Zeldamaster,
You're right, you can't summon all seven Fusion Monsters at once. But, what you do is you summon one Fusion Monster, then use the Catapult Turtle's ability right away. That destroys the monster, damages your opponent, and makes more space so you can summon another monster. Keep summoning and destroying the monsters until you have done it seven times.

Good eye! I should have been clearer.

    Have fun,
    Gary
