LocoRoco 2, Flower, and Retro Game Collections

Feb 05, 2009

Keep up-to-date with all the latest video game releases! Kidzworld has all the latest games to keep watch for.

Rollin' with LocoRoco!

Perhaps the best PSP game to date, LocoRoco, is coming back with a sequel this week! Tilt and roll through each level, attempting to keep yourself together until the end. There are also new mini-games that resemble Whack-a-Mole and a multiplayer battle mode. The addictive music and art design has enthralled both casual and hardcore gamers, and this edition has added more gaming goodness for both of them. Though difficult to explain, you certainly won't regret buying what will likely be the best PSP game yet again.

Chill With Flower

From the makers of flOw, the "survival of the fittest" game that gave Spore its cell stage, the Playstation Network is now treated to Flower. Flower is a similarly calm gaming experience, casting you as a flower petal that is guided (through the PS3's tilt controls) over vast fields of other flowers, which all look unbelievable on High-Def TVs. Your control of the flower petals changes the music and graphics, making the game almost as fun to watch as it is to play.

Kickin' it Old-School

Also this week, we get two retro game collections, one made up of actual old SEGA games, and the other just old-school new games straight out of a Japanese game show. Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection contains more than 40 SEGA Genesis classics, including a stunning 6 entire Sonic the Hedgehog games in one box for the Xbox 360 or PS3! If you own a DS instead, try Retro Game Challenge, a collection of 7 brand new, yet retro games of different types, from RPGs to top-down shooters.

If you're looking for more Sonic games, also check out Sonic Chaos, which was re-released on the Wii Virtual Console for 500 Wii points last week.
