Only available for a limited time…

Fire Emblem is now a household name for Nintendo fans. Prince Marth first arrived on the scene in the West in Super Smash Bros. Melee, and since then the Fire Emblem series has gone on to be very successful outside of Japan. Soon, everyone will be able to experience where the series started 30 years ago. Fire Emblem: Three Houses is one of the best Switch games yet, and being able to see where the series began is a welcome option for players.

Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon & the Blade of Light

The first Fire Emblem was released back in 1990 for the NES. With over 20 games following it, Fire Emblem has become one of Nintendo’s premiere game series. Fire Emblem: Three Houses was one of the best games of 2019 and brought a ton of new players into the series. On December 4th, 2020, the first game will be downloadable on the Nintendo eShop for $5.99. There is unfortunately a catch. You can only pick up the game from December 4th, 2020, to March 31st, 2020, much like the Super Mario 3D All-Stars Collection. It is a shame that Nintendo went through the trouble of localizing the game for English for the first time, only to go around and remove it from players entirely. The game is also getting a huge collectors edition version that has a ton of Fire Emblem goodies inside, but expect this to be even harder to snag.
