Australia laid the mother of all smackdowns on Russia during a World Cup Rugby League match on November 4, 2000. The sporting Aussies pounded the Russians 110 - 4. Whatever happenened to the mercy rule?
Basketball Beatings
When the USA brought a team of NBA players to the Olympics for the first time, in 1992 in Barcelona, the rest of the world knew there could be trouble. Team USA, led by Michael Jordan, Charles Barkley and Karl Malone slam dunked Angola 116 - 48 in the tournament's opening game. The butt kickin's continued for the rest of the Olympic tournament as America went on to win the gold medal - winning each game by an average of 43 points.
Touchdown Trouncing
The football game between Georgia Tech and Cumberland University on October 7, 1916 definitely ranks as one of the best examples of buttkickitis of all time. Georgia Tech scored 32 touchdowns, as they kicked the Cumber out of Cumberland, by a score of 220 - 0. That happened 85 years ago but Cumberland's butt is still sore.
