  • NBA All-Star Game, Washington - February 11th, 2001

    Allen Iverson scores 15 points in the fourth-quarter to lead the East to a stunning comeback victory over the West. The East were down by 21 with nine minutes left. That's when Allen provided all the answers. He finished with 25 points and was named the All-Star Game MVP.

  • Game 7 Stanley Cup Finals, Denver - June 9th, 2001

    The Colorado Avalanche defeat the New Jersey Devils 3 -1 to win the Stanley Cup. Patrick Roy is named MVP and Ray Bourque wins his first Stanley Cup after playing 22 years in the NHL.

  • Lakers Repeat, Philadelphia - June 15th, 2001

    The LA Lakers win their second straight NBA title by defefeating the Philadelphia 76ers in five games. Allen Iverson did not have the answer for Shaq and Kobe and the rest of the Lakers who are already predicting a three-peat.

  • Hotdog World Record, New York - July 4th, 2001

    131-pound Takeru Kobayashi of Japan shatters the world record for hotdog eating by pounding down 50 hotdogs in 12 minutes.

  • 2001 Baseball All-Star Game, Seattle - July 10th, 2001
    Cal Ripken hits a homerun in his final MLB All-Star game to lead the American League over the National League 4 - 1. Ripken is named MVP and gets a standing ovation.

  • US Open Final, New York - September 8th, 2001
    Venus Williams and Serena Williams make history by playing each other in the womens' final. Venus beats her younger sis in straight sets to take her second straight title.

  • Bonds Hits 73rd Homerun, LA - October 6th, 2001
    Barry Bonds hits his 73rd homerun of the season to beat his own record.

  • Jordan Returns, New York - October 30th, 2001 - MJ returns to the NBA in a game against the New York Knicks at Madison Square Gardens. Michael and the Wizards lose but who cares? MJ's back.

  • Diamondbacks Win World Series, Phoenix - November 4th, 2001 - Luis Gonzalez singles home the winning run in the bottom of the ninth inning as the Arizona Diamondbacks defeat the New York Yankees, 3 - 2 and win the World Series.

    It's definitely an American thing - here in Australia we have like no Cheerleaders or Cheerleading groups. I think it's a sport but I'm not really into it. I think any girls or boys can do it. :3

    Sure, many girls can fight, in fact some can fight really well, however it is a fact that women are generally physically weaker than men, which means that if a healthy male and a healthy female were to fight then the outcome wouldn't be 50/50 but rather 25/75 if even that much, this assumes that both the male and female have the same experience, training and of course both are healthy. This doesn't mean that women are inferior to men, but I am just pointing out facts, the notion that men and women are exactly the same and should be carrying out the same tasks is ridiculous.
