Kidzworld's Office Dogs: Lucy and Lola are both Portugese Water Dogs!
President Barack Obama and his family seem to have decided what kind of dog they are going to get. Barack and his wife, Michelle, promised their two daughters they would get a dog when they moved into the White House.
So what breed has the presidential family picked? A Portuguese water dog! The dog is like a poodle with a curly coat and is usually brown or black. The breed the family picked is important because Malia Obama is allergic to some dogs.
The Obamas are hoping to get a rescue dog around April, which gives them plenty of time to think about names, which is probably a good thing, seeing as Michelle told a magazine some possible names the girls came up with were Frank and Moose!
