Linkin Park Gets Its Start
Brad Delson (guitar), Mike Shinoda (vocals) and Rob Bourdon (drums) met and became friends while attending high school in Southern California. Mike Shinoda later met DJ Joseph Hahn at art school in Pasadena, California. Linkin Park's line-up was complete with the addition of another vocalist - Chester Bennington.
Linkin Park's Big Break
Linkin Park struggled for recognition until they got their first gig at the famous LA club - The Whiskey. Shorty after that Linkin Park was signed by Warner Bros. Records and they started pumpin' out tunes like Crawling and Somewhere I Belong.

Linkin Park's influences include Nine Inch Nails, Deftones, The Roots and Aphex Twin.
Brad Delson kept his hair purple throughout high school.
Chester Bennington met his wife Samantha when he was working in a Burger King.
Linkin Park Says...
"I've always wanted our show to be energetic. We use drum samplers and turntables with original vinyl to perform all the sample parts live on stage, which I think brings an exciting uniqueness to the songs."
