Dying to see the new Harry Potter movie? Some people are going to other movies just to see the trailer! But dont worry, JK Rowlings Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets will be weaving its magic into theaters before you can wave your magic wand.

If you've been dying for the next flick in the Harry Potter series, you don't have long to wait. The Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets movie will be weaving its magic in theaters before you can wave your magic wand. Well, maybe not that fast... but November 15, 2002 isn't far away! In the meantime wizards, check out these movie facts on Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.

1 Die-hard Harry Potter maniacs went to see Scooby-Doo just to get a peek at the first full trailer for Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. Whoa! You've gotta be hardcore to shell-out full ticket prices on a trailer.

1 11 year-old Joel Willoughby won a walk-on part in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets by answering five questions in the Owl Prowl game on the Harry Potter Web site. Joel just wanted to win a DVD of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone movie and ended up winning the prize of a lifetime!

1 Originally, Alan Cumming (Spy Kids and Spy Kids 2) and Hugh Grant (Bridget Jones's Diary) were considered for the part of Gilderoy Lockhart. English actor, Kenneth Branagh, is playing the part of Gilderoy Lockhart.

1 Daniel Radcliffe, who plays Harry Potter, hasn't been confirmed for the third movie, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.

1 Chris Columbus, the director of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets and Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, will not be directing the third Harry Potter movie, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. It will be directed by Alfonso Cuaron who directed A Little Princess.

1 You may notice Daniel Radcliffe, who plays Harry Potter, looks like a young kid in the last scene of the original Harry Potter flick but is looking older and has a deeper voice for the Chamber of Secrets movie. That's okay though cuz Harry's getting older in the books too. Yikes! I wonder if Harry's gonna be six feet tall by the time Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban comes out in 2004!

Many of the reviews and critics say it's bad because they are only looking at it from 'comic to movie' perspective. It was still a really cool movie and you should go see it. I'd have to agree with this. The movie itself was great. I think some people looked at it poorly because they were expecting something more similar to the older films or comparing it too hard to the comics. I personally think that it was a great way to reinvent some of the characters.

"It's so hard to talk when you want to k-ll yourself. That's above and beyond everything else, and it's not a mental complaint-it's a physical thing, like it's physically hard to open your mouth and make the words come out. They don't come out smooth and in conjunction with your brain the way normal people's words do; they come out in chunks as if from a crushed-ice dispenser; you stumble on them as they gather behind your lower lip. So you just keep quiet.” Ned Vizzini, "It's Kind of a Funny Story"

“Isn't there something in living dangerously?' There's a great deal in it,' the Controller replied. 'Men and women must have their adrenals stimulated from time to time.' What?' questioned the Savage, uncomprehending. It's one of the conditions of perfect health. That's why we've made the V.P.S. treatments compulsory.' V.P.S.?' Violent Passion Surrogate. Regularly once a month. We flood the whole system with adrenin. It's the complete physiological equivalent of fear and rage. All the tonic effects of murdering Desdemona and being murdered by Othello, without any of the inconvenience.' But I like the inconveniences.' We don't,' said the Controller. 'We prefer to do things comfortably.' But I don't want comfort. I want God, I want poetry, I want real danger, I want freedom, I want goodness. I want sin.' In fact,' said Mustapha Mond, 'you're claiming the right to be unhappy. Not to mention the right to grow old and ugly and impotent; the right to have ######## and cancer, the right to have too little to eat; the right to be lousy; the right to live in constant apprehension of what may happen tomorrow; the right to catch typhoid; the right to be tortured by unspeakable pains of every kind.' There was a long silence. I claim them all,' said the Savage at last. Mustapha Mond shrugged his shoulders. 'You're welcome,' he said.”
