Simple Plan Interview (Continued...)

KW: How do you guys feel about being compared to Sum 41? Does that bug you?
Chuck: Sum 41 who? We're a new band, and every new band is compared to someone... like Sum 41 was compared to Blink-182. We're proud of being compared to those bands but they do their thing and we do our thing - and it's different.

KW: How would YOU describe your style? Punk rock?
Seb: Yes... we are very punk... we wear little cut off T-shirts.
Chuck: We all grew up on punk rock... Blink, Bad Religion, Green Day and all those bands you obviously hear in our sound. But we also like catchy, older stuff like Elvis Costello.

KW: Name one item you always take with you on the tour bus.
Sebastian: My passport and clothes... cuz you want to be dressed, right? You don't wanna be naked... cell phones.
Chuck: My iPod.

KW: Have people ever called your cell phone?
Seb: No, but that happened to Pierre at home. Pierre just got in the door and his mom said, "Hey Pierre the phone's for you, it's some girl." And the girl was like, "Are you Pierre Bouvier... (screams) Oh my God!"

KW: Everyone wants to know if you guys are single?
Seb & Chuck: Yes.
Seb: Everybody's single except David.

KW: What do each of you look for in a girl?
Chuck: Personality (grins and laughs)... a cute girl that's cool... watch movies and do stupid things.
Sebastian: Someone to have fun with...

KW: If you couldn't play music at all, what would you be doing?
Chuck: I would be in college studying and my mother would be really proud of me.I would be in law school. Entertainment law.
Sebastian: I would be in college too.

KW: Which band member is the messiest?
Seb: Jeff! You should see the stuff around his bunk... it's like a jungle (laughs.)

KW: Who's the funniest?
Chuck: David... yeah. He'll do anything for a joke... he's crazy.

KW: If you guys were all on Survivor, who would be voted off first?
Seb: We'd survive as a team but yeah, I'd vote for Pierre cuz the other day he told me he didn't like my hair.

KW: What city has the biggest Simple Plan fans?
Chuck: Toronto and Montreal. Now Chicago is pretty wild... New York.

KW: Where do you hope Simple Plan will be in five years?
Seb: Still on stage...
Chuck: ...or in the studio. I wouldn't mind having four records.
