Country Dance :: Wii Game Review
Sing along and dance to hit country songs in Country Dance for Nintendo Wii. Dust off your boots and read Kidzworld’s review for all the details.
If you love country music and like to shake your boots you need to play Country Dance for Wii. This fun game will get you moving and grooving to your favorite songs from artists like Carrie Underwood, Sugarland, Tim McGraw and Blake Shelton.
Perfect the Moves
There are four different game types. In Normal, players hold the Wii remote in their right hand and follow the onscreen character as though it were their own reflection in a mirror. The more moves you get correct, the higher your score. In Perfection, players must get a perfect score to move on. In Stop N Go, players stop dancing when the red ‘Stop’ appears and start dancing again when the green ‘Go’ appears. If you move when you should be stopped you will lose points. Within each level you can choose the amount of rounds you want to play (1, 3 or 5) as well as the songs you want to dance to.

There are more than 25 different songs to choose from in Country Dance. Each song has a star rating to indicate how challenging the level will be. Songs range from country hits like “Cowboy Casanova” by Carrie Underwood, “Water” by Brad Paisley and “Stuck Like Glue” by Sugarland to classic favorites like “Ring of Fire” by Johnny Cash and “Achy Breaky Heart” by Billy Ray Cyrus. The lyrics for these songs also appear onscreen so you can sing along as you perform the dance moves.
Compete with Friends
Country Dance can support up to four players, so you can dance and compare your moves with family and friends. But beware, the dance moves can be challenging. The songs that are rated with one star are easy enough to follow along, but once you advance to the two- or three-star ratings the game introduces tricky footwork that requires practice to perfect. Luckily, the tunes are so catchy you will want to keep playing anyway!
