NBA Playoffs : The Best Players to NEVER win

May 25, 2011

The Dallas Mavericks closed out their series with the Oklahoma City Thunder 4-1 to advance to the NBA Finals. The Mavs have never won a NBA  Championship , not to mention their 5 best players have never won a NBA ring. Dirk Nowitzki, Jason Kidd, Shawn Marion, Jason Terry, and Peja Stojakovic are 5 of the best players in the NBA that have never won a title... Can they finally do it this year? They are 16-1 underdogs as Las Vegas is predicting a blowout by Dwayne Wade and the Miami Heat.

Dirk the Dunking Deutchman

Dirk has never won an NBA ringDirk has never won an NBA ring

Dirk Nowitzki is a 7 foot German monster who can do it all... except win a championship. Dirk can dunk with power, he can shake and bake, shoot the three, but when it comes to the Western Conference Finals, there's always a Tim Duncan, Shaquille O'Neil, or Kobe Bryant to steal the show. Well, this year Dirk has a pass to the Finals and the biggest challenge lies ahead... Lebron James and Chris Bosh!

Jason "your Kidd ing me he has never won a ring?"

18 years and no ring for Kidd18 years and no ring for Kidd

Jason Kidd is the best player to never win a NBA championship. He's 38 years old and has more triple doubles than any player in the NBA ever. How can this guy have never won a championship? Look at his career stats:

  • 2nd allt-time in career assists
  • 3rd allt-time in total made 3-point field goals
  • 3rd allt-time in steals
  • 8th allt-time in minutes played

Poor Peja

Peja is PatientPeja is Patient

Peja Stojakovic could have won an NBA title when he played with the Sacramento Kings in 2001. Even though the Kings were by far the best team in the NBA that year, the LA Lakers stole the Conference Finals with the most controversial refereeing ever seen in a NBA Playoff Series.

Marion the Ex-Sun

Shawn choked many times with the SunsShawn choked many times with the Suns

Shawn Marion played most of his career with the Phoenix Suns and the Suns have choked against the San Antonio Spurs and the LA Lakers just as much as the Mavs. Just ask another great player who has never won a NBA championship... Steve Nash.

Terry's Troubles

Jason is still waiting to winJason is still waiting to win

Jason Terry is another great Mav who has never won a championship in his long career. These poor players just want one ring before they retire, but with players like Michael Jordan, Shaquille O'Neil, Tim Duncan, and Kobe Bryant standing in there way year after year, they can't do it. Is this the year these guys can beat all the odds and finally win a championship... or will they just have to settle for second place again?

Every sport is dangerous, some are just more obvious than others. When people are good at what they do, they make things seem easy. very well said! I was a cheerleader for 2 years until  I aged out, but let ,e tell you, they were 2 of the best, sweaty and most fun years I have ever had

CHEERLEADING IS LIKE DANCE GYMNASTICS MIXED TOGETHER WITH WORDS. AND DANCE AND GYMNASTICS ARE CONSIDERED SPORTS.
