Do you love the Camp Rock movies? If so you totally know Meaghan Martin, who played Tess Tyler in Camp Rock and Camp Rock 2. This Disney starlet grew up in Las Vegas, a city known for its wealth of stage performances. Meaghan quickly developed a love for theatre and acted in plays like Peter Pan and 13. During this time she also filmed several commercials for products like Barbie and Cabbage Patch Kids.
TV Turnaround
In 2007 Meaghan made the move from stage to screen with appearances in the TV shows Just Jordan, Close to Home and The Suite Life of Zack and Cody. A year later she got her big break when she was cast as Tess in the movie Camp Rock with Demi Lovato and the Jonas Brothers. In the movie Meaghan’s plays a popular girl with a famous mother. She befriends Demi Lovato’s character and the two become friends. The movie was a huge hit and Meaghan filmed the sequel, Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam, in 2010.
Wish Upon A Star
Since Camp Rock Meaghan has enjoyed TV and film success. She played Bianca Stratford in the show 10 Things I Hate About You, Johanna in Mean Girls 2 and will be appearing in a new movie called Sironia. Meaghan is also a musician and has recorded a bunch of different songs. In addition to her solos in Camp Rock, she sang ‘When You Wish Upon a Star’ for Pinnochio’s anniversary.
