NCAA Men's Basketball Championship Final

Apr 03, 2012

Anthony Davis only made one basket out of 10 shots, but he was the biggest reason why the Kentucky Wildcats won the NCAA Basketball Championship in New Orleans against the Kansas Jayhawks. The Wildcats were up 18 points early in the game and Anthony’s intimidation prevented any hopes of a Jayhawk comeback. Kentucky wins the 2012 Final Four Tournament 67-59!

Defense Dominates

Usually the most outstanding player of the tournament award goes to a player who scores a lot of points, but Anthony was chosen as the MVP based entirely on his defensive play. He tied a championship record of six blocked shots and it was very evident that the Jayhawks were worried about his presence while shooting jumpers.

Davis for Draft?

All the critics are raving about Anthony. His performance in the Championship Final was so outstanding that everyone is predicting for him to be the #1 pick of the next NBA draft.  Anthony is only a freshman in college, but you can probably predict that he will be one of the all-time great NBA players in the future.
