2013 WNBA Preview

May 21, 2013

The 2013 WNBA season will not be like any other normal season of women's basketball. There is a new Sheryl Swoopes of the league and there are huge expectations to this year's rookie sensation Brittney Griner, the #1 draft pick going to the Phoenix Mercury. Let's check out what might happen this year in the 2013 WNBA preview

Could Brittney be as dominant to the WNBA like Lebron James is to the NBA? She'll probably be even more dominant! Brittney led the University of Baylor to a perfect 40-0 season last year, so the other teams of the WNBA are in trouble for the next... oh let's say 15 years.

Japan actually won the battle to open Brittney's professional debut. Brittney's team, the Mercury, got to sit out the WNBA pre-season because Japan sent for the team to play their Women's National Basketball team. Brittney and Phoenix blew them away 87-64.

Brittney Blasts Baylor

Brittney also came out of the closet with some interesting news... literally. Last month she announced that she is gay and she was forced to keep it a secret by her Baylor University Basketball Coach to prevent close-minded basketball players from wanting to attend the University. Wow... get a life Baylor!

The 2013 WNBA Season showcases Brittney's first game in the league on ESPN2 at 5pm EST on May 27th, 2013. It will be very interesting to see if Brittney can live up to all this hype!

Have your say...

Being loyal to a club is supporting them only and following them, you can't support a team if you support their opposition too! that comes in Champions league only with a rare chance............. so i guess its fair enough to go for 2 teams at least if u want to enjoy competitive football.......
