Oct 06, 2016

Olympic Games are one of the most reputed and leading internal sporting competitions of all times. Rather than winning in the prestigious of all games, even participating in them is considered a great feat. The recently concluded winter 2014 Olympic Games had lot of fun elements in store for kids.

Kids were seen enjoying contesting with coloring pages and making posters and videos. There was drawing and painting competition especially for the younger kids as small as two years of age. It was fun to see the numerous responses that was received from smaller kids, for whom the canvas was their sky for creativity to show the world what a powerhouse of flair the kids have got. Some children were also seen to write printable writing pages making this winter Olympics even more fun filled and exciting.

For all the children talented in sport activities were given a chance in this year’s winter Olympics. While some kids were competing in Curling, Luge, Bobsled and Biathlon, other children were having fun with Alpine Skiing, freestyle Skiing and cross-country skiing.

Being winter Olympics, skating was the favor of the season and children were seen competing in figure skating, speed skating and short track speed skating. Other than the children who were winning medals, even the other children who were skating seemed to have lots of enjoyment doing skating. Even the children who were falling down while skating showed good sportsmanship and were seen taking pleasure in the sporting event.

Other winter games for children were Ice hockey and snowboarding. Ice hockey especially was an exciting match between talented hockey players who could do skating as well. The nail biting sports has seen many anxious moments were the goal was missed by the superb goal diverting stroke of the goal keeper. To watch small children in various age groups struggle and compete for the coveted medal in itself as an exhilarating experience for the audience.

Other trilling children’s games at the winter Olympics for February 2014 were the short track speed skating. Similar to a marathon race, the difference here was that the kids were racing on ice on skaters, making the sport much trickier. It was amazing to see how small kids were balancing themselves and racing ahead to win the speed skating.

The adrenaline sport at the winter Olympics 2014 was children’s ski diving sport. Fairly fit and able-bodied children were seen to enjoy hop blobbing in the air with the rush of enthusiasm.
