Celebrate The Book of Life & National Reading Day

Jan 23, 2015

National Reading Day, January 23rd, is an annual event which celebrates and encourages reading by younger children and is celebrated in thousands of schools all around the United States.

Using the Book of Life storybook kits, be inspired to create books tied to family traditions, roots and the importance of honoring your family’s past to embrace your future! ‘The Book of Life’ encourages young readers to continue reading and learning in the new year!

To amplify the National Reading Day holiday and The Book of Life family themes, are also partnering with Pinhole Press where you can customize a professionally printed book to tell your child’s own story with exclusive backgrounds and branding from the movie.

The Book of Life tells the story of Manolo, a young man who is torn between fulfilling the expectations of his family and following his heart, as he embarks on an adventure that spans three fantastic worlds where he must face his greatest fears and realize what is most important – family and loved ones.

Reading time poll

Best Time to Read a Book?

  • In the summer when I'm not in school.
  • Only when my teacher assigns a book report.
  • Any time's a good time to read.
  • When all my fave shows are re-runs.

The whole "social" thing is messed up. People have to be and act a certain way to get into anything, weather it's a stupid friendship groip or a certain field. WHy can't we just be recognised and accepted for who we are and for our talants? Why can't we do things the way we want to? WHy do we feel we need to please others by doing it their way? Half the time, they don't even ask us to do things their way. And what everyone else said, I couldn't agree more.

i have changed my views on things like this, i think 99% of people that hunt and the people that complain about the hunting are complete hypocrites though.  if you think that its justified to kill an animal in a given context, you must have a difference between a human and the animal that if true of the human would justify killing the animal, otherwise you say X justifies killing something but doesnt justify killing something ate the same time, which of course is a contradiction. hopefully people can understand that.  What gives, polar bears for example, the right to kill humans for food but doesn't give humans the right to kill an animal for food?
