Transport to Jumanji with the Film's Home Release and Escape Room

Kidzworld was recently invited to celebrate the at home release of Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle from Sony Pictures Entertainment. To coincide with the film’s release 60OUT Escape Rooms created a special adventure inspired by the worlds of Jumanji particularly the latest film in the franchise. And we got to go!

Starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Karen Gillan, Jack Back and Kevin Hart as the in-game avatars of teens transported into the jungle world of the once board game/now video game, the crew finds themselves fighting for their lives to complete Jumanji and make it back home.

Filled with action, laughs, romance and the spirit of the original book/film, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle hits stores Tuesday March 20th and is now available on digital. Fans of all the incarnations of Jumanji will be excited to own the film and dive into the special features to get more of the amazing world with it’s trivia and behind the scenes

Adventurers Beware:

We were excited to enter the 60OUT Escape Room Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, having read the original children’s book and seen the both the original classic and latest films. It’s truly an extension of the stories we know and love.

It begins with you and your group of friends sneaking into the room of one of your pals who encourages you to find the board game which turns into the video game. After a series of puzzles in the bedroom, you get sucked into the jungles of Jumanji.

Everyone Plays a Role:

When your group of 4-8 enter the game you’re assigned characters with traits similar to the characters from the film like Ruby Roundhouse or Smolder Bravestone or Professor Shelly Oberon. Each with distinct powers, you all come in handy with these skills to figure out the puzzles inside the escape room.

Filled with little Easter eggs to all versions of the property and with cutting edge tech to feel truly immersed in the world, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle nails the fun. With your group everyone has a job to do the requires strength, agility, knowledge, puzzle and logic. All together, your roles combined help to get  you through the room and survive Jumanji.

Take the Game Home

The 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray and DVD will also include digital versions of the movie on the all-new Movies Anywhere App. A cool new aspect is that fans can experience what it’s like to be transported into the world of Jumanji with a Snapchat Snapcode that unlocks an augmentedreality experience.

When you scan the Snapcode with the Snapchat app, you will find the jungle brought to life right in front of them. Once there, you can record their experience and share it with their friends. It’s a cool AR experience that will bring the characters from Jumanji into your living room.

Then experience the film again at home and dig into the bonus materials packed with more laughs, more action and more fun, including a hilarious gag reel, a music video and three behind-the-scenes featurettes. Be rocked when Jack Black and Nick Jonas Drop an original theme song for the film in the epic music video “Jumanji Jumanji.”
