Tarte Cosmetics Review

Just when you thought your lips couldn't get any glossier, your cheeks any rosier or your eyes any flashier, Tarte jumps onto the make-up stage with a line of cosmetics that you won't be able to live without.

Tarte Lip Sheers

Tarte's lip sheers are a great combination of lip color and lip balm melded into one great stick of lip goodness. If lipstick tends to dry your lips out and lip balm doesn't give you enough oomph, then lip sheers are the product for you! Tarte's lip sheers come in seven sultry shades (from a pale peach, to a dark burgundy,) and are named for each day of the week. Now, you have something to compliment your seven-days-of-the-week underwear!

Tarte Cheek Stain

In the
make-up department, blush can be a really tricky cosmetic to apply. You don't want to get powder all over yourself but you want to make sure that people can tell that you're wearing it. Well, with Tarte's Cheek Stain, applying blush doesn't have to be a hassle. At first, the cheek stain appears even scarier than your average pressed-powder blush, but your fear is lost once you try it. All you have to do to apply, is glide the stain across your cheeks and then blend it in with your fingers. It blends super-easy and comes in three cheek-pleasing colors: Flush, Tickled Peach and my favorite, Sunkissed.

Tarte Lip Gloss Duos

Are you the kind of girl who has a million different lip glosses in her bag, just so you have different ones to choose from on a moment-to-moment basis? Wouldn't it be great if you could lighten that cosmetic load by having two slender sticks that contain two colors each? Tarte's lip gloss wands come with two complimentary colors and are named in honor of famous couples in history. Our favorites include the peachy pair Odysseus and Penelope (Odysseus led the Greeks in the Trojan War,) and the brawny, brown mates, Tarzan and Jane. Other cool couple combos include Danny and Sandy, Fred and Ginger and even Romeo and Juliet! If you're looking for shiny, glossy, kissable lips, then you better grab yourself a Tarte lip gloss wand.

It's important to think about why you are wanting to wear the makeup. If you are wanting it to impress someone, then chances are makeup is not the solution. When you are in middle school the need to impress escalates greatly. You do not always need to impress people with your looks. Impress them with your mind, blow them away with how good you are in a certain topic or how fast you read your assigned readings. Being pretty is something everyone strives to be, but how about being pretty smart, pretty funny, pretty kind, pretty helpful. There's all kinds of pretty. Now, if you are doing your makeup because it's fun and something you enjoy doing then by all means do it. Makeup can be an art, no matter what people say. I have many friends who's general art skills have increased because they can do their winged eyeliner perfectly, or their contour is just right. The point to all this is simple. Do the makeup for you, not for others. Please talk to your mom respectively about the topic and see if she changes her mind, and please do not be discouraged if she doesn't.  I hope this helps.
