Dear Dish-It, Valentine's Day Dilemmas

Apr 21, 2016

Dear Dish-It, is here to whisper "ttyl after I've thought about this some more".

Dear Dish-It,

Hi, I have a boyfriend named Zack but I am too young to go on a date. What do I do for Valentine's Day? Any advice? Let me know!
Ms.Understood

Dear Ms. Understood,

First off, good for you girl! Knowing that you're not ready to date, and accepting that, makes you cool. Now, as for what to do... you two could have a "lunch date" where ya share some grub in the cafeteria with your gang. I'm all for a cute, homemade valentine slipped in his locker. If it's homemade, you can glue some mag pics on that are his style, like snowboardin' pics or skate pics, whatever he's into. A cute poem - yours or Shakespeare's, etc. - is also a winning idea.

Dear Dish-It,

Valentine's Day is coming up and I fancy someone but I can't get his attention. I am 11 and the boy is 11. How do I get his attention?
Lil_Babe

Dear Lil_Babe,

Well, you picked the perfect day to give your crush a little hint, that's for sure! V-Day is a perfect crush-revealing day cuz everyone is in the lovin' mood. So, get out the art supplies or head to a card store and get your guy a valentine! In the card, tell him you think he's all that and a big bag of chips. It's simple, it's to the point and better yet, it's Valentine's Day so it's not too over-the-top. If he isn't feeling the same vibes for ya, no biggie - just remember that there are other fish in the sea! You might want to include a little chocolate treat or some of those little cinnamon hearts.

So, ya gotta burnin' question? Need some love directions? Thinkin' 'bout stuff like depression, sex,how ya feel 'bout YOURSELF (that's called "self-esteem"), boyfriends, girlfriends, losin' old friends, bullyin' or peer pressure, but too scared to ask the parents? Don't be scared to .
