Mega Man 4 :: Gamecube Review

Dec 27, 2006

One of my all time favorite games for the original 8-bit Nintendo game system was Mega Man 4. I loved this game! I would spend countless hours trying to defeat the various bosses and their hordes of robotic minions. Once I had beaten all the bosses, it was time to do battle with Mega Man's arch nemesis Dr.Wily.

Dr.Wily was scientist that resembled a psychotic Albert Einstein. Einstein discovered the theory of relativity, Wily's main difference from Einstein, was the army of robotic killing machines that he created. Other than that, it's quite difficult to tell the two apart

Mega Man 4's game play is good, but every stage has a pattern. Once this pattern is learned, it's easy to master the game. My favorite aspect of the Mega Man games is, every boss you beat, you gain their powers. This is cool because every time you equip a beaten bosses' weapon, not only does Mega Man's weapon change, his appearance is also altered. In Mega Man 4, Mega Man gets the help from a little red robotic dog named Rush. Rush had the ability to turn into a spring-board, a rocket-board and a submarine that was just big enough to fit Mega Man inside. Bless that little robot dog.

If you ever come across a copy of Mega Man 4, don't hesitate to buy this N.E.S. classic. Every one should play this game at least once in their life. Thanks for reading my review on Mega Man 4.
