The Sims 2: University: Expansion Pack Review

Dec 27, 2006
EA's super-duper virtual people are getting an education! The Sims 2 is all about raising a family of sims complete with jobs, neighbors and stylin' homes. Now, with The Sims 2: University expansion pack, your Sims can take off for the university experience. Parties, dorms, quizzes, homework and more! Here's the Kidzworld report card on how much fun this video game expansion is.

The Sims 2: University Video Game 101

To do the university thing, you need to install this sucker on top of The Sims 2 and play your game as usual. But, once one of your Sims is old enough, it's university time! You can send 'em off to school and the game will change to a whole new area where your Sim's chillin' with a bunch of strangers. For the 411 on what you can do in university, check out our Sims 2: University preview. Once your Sim hits the books, studies, takes tests and eventually graduates, they'll get dropped back into their old neighborhood with a ton of bonus points towards getting a really cool job.

Does The Sims 2: University get an A+?

From the Simglish music, to using influence to get other Sims to do your assignments and streakin' through the library during study time, The Sims 2: University is a hoot. It scores a definite A for all the cool options it adds to the game. Unfortunately, all the other Sims at the university behave a bit strangely unless you're ordering them around. It's still fun to do the university thing and it scores an overall B+ grade from Kidzworld.
