The Door in the Wall - Hero in the Making
The
Newbery Medal-winning book,
The Door in the Wall, tells the story of Robin and his
adventures and
friends as he adapts to his new life. From making friends with the
kind monk Brother Luke and the
minstrel John-go-in-the-Wynd, to fleeing from
bandits and saving the great castle of Lindsay. Robin learns about what it really takes to be a
hero.
The Door in the Wall - Old School Tale
The first thing you'll notice about
The Door in the Wall is that everybody talks strangely. They speak in
old English and it sounds kind of like how the characters in
The Lord of the Rings movies talk. It's also a very well-written book that'll keep you turning pages and will really get you thinking about Robin. There are even a few
drawings by the author that show you what's going on in the story.
The Door in the Wall - Bottom Line
The Door in the Wall is a
great book! It's a nice short read that's fun from start to end and is
small enough that you can stick it in your pocket and take it when you go out.
