Kurt Busch - Says No To Drugs
Kurt Busch was born in 1978 in
Las Vegas, Nevada. His dad was a former
stock car racer and
auto mechanic so Kurt spent a lot of time growing up around
fast cars and engines. Busch
raced go-karts when he was a kid and started racing
Dwarf Cars as a teenager. After finishing high school, Busch briefly went to college with plans of
becoming a pharmacist - but he soon realized he'd rather be
dispensing speed on the race track than dispensing pills at a drug store. After racing for five season on NASCAR'S junior circuits, he began racing on
NASCARS's top series in 2001.
Kurt Busch - NASCAR Champ or Driving Chump?
Kurt Busch's
agressive driving style made an immediate impact on NASCAR's top racing circuit. In his second season, Busch
won four races and in 2004, he won 14 races and the
NASCAR driving title. While Kurt Busch's lightning fast driving has led to sucess on the race track, it's also led to
several confrontations with
other drivers and
NASCAR officials. In 2003, Busch was punched in the face by driver,
Jimmy Spencer, after the two bumped each other during a race. Busch has also recevied
several penalties from race officials for hitting
drivers and breaking other track rules. Kurt Busch
switched to a new sponsor at the end of the 2005 race season, which he's hoping will bring both better results on the track in 2006 and a
reformed image in the eyes of fans and fellow drivers.
Kurt Busch - Did You Know
Kurt Busch is engaged to his girlfriend Eva Bryan. The two met on a blind date in 2003.
Kurt Busch's favorite baseball team is the Chicago Cubs.
