Unleash Ben 10’s aliens and mutants against your friends with the Ben 10 card game! Here’s our review.

Ben Tennyson was chillin’ with his family when he found the Omnitrix and gained the ability to transform into 10 different alien superheroes! You can catch his adventures with the Ben 10 TV show on Cartoon Network, or you can grab the Ben 10 Collectible Card Game and bring the fun home. Here’s the scoop on this new game from Bandai with Gary’s card game review.

Ben 10 Card Game - Alien Battling 101

The Ben 10 card game comes in Starter Sets for new players and Booster Packs that let you add more cards to your collection. To play, you make a deck of 40 cards and find a friend to battle. You toss down humans, aliens and mutants from the cartoon and attack with them. The first player to run out of cards or life points loses! Effect and Trick cards let you add a twist to battles, and you can combine Alien and Human cards into super-powerful creatures, but only for a few turns.

Ben 10 Card Game - Transforming Fun!

If you’re a Ben 10 fan you’ll get a kick out of controlling the critters from the cartoon. You can even make bad guy decks with tons of villain cards! The Starter Sets give new players a chance to get right in on the action and, with only 80 cards in the set, it’s easy to collect them all.

Ben 10 Card Game - Crummy Cards

The biggest bummer about the Ben 10 card game is that the artwork on some of the cards looks awful – like someone took a picture of the cartoon rather than making awesome new art. The rules are also a bit weak and you can abuse them really easily.

Ben 10 Card Game - Cool Cards or TV Trash?

The Ben 10 card game is a decent game that fans of the cartoon will get a kick out of. If you don’t know who the heck Ben Tennyson is, it’s still fun but you should check out the TV show and see who all the freaks on the cards are!

Ben 10 Card Game Thumbs Up:

  • Control the creatures from the Ben 10 cartoon.
  • Make decks full of villain cards!
  • Start playing easily with a Starter Set.
  • Ben 10 Card Game Thumbs Down:

  • Lots of cards look like junk.
  • The rules are easily abused.
  • Only 80 cards means your options are limited.
  • Ben 10 Card Game Rating: 4

And really, children under that age should not be playing M games! -_- (Kids these days...)
