Randy Johnson spent spring training nailing pigeons with his fastball, now he's striking out pretty much everyone. On May 8th, 2001 Randy struck out 20 guys in nine innings in a game against the Reds. But because the game ended up going 10 innnings, Randy won't get his name in the record books with Roger Clemens and Kerry Wood who have also struck out 20 in a game before.
The Cubs are in first place! Could this be the year the Chicago Cubs finally win a world series and end their drought that's lasted more than 90 years? If Slammin' Sammy keeps knocking them out of the park and their pitching doesn't fold, the Cubs have a chance.

He still has a way to go before he's in prime form - but he's the best the Reds have while Ken Griffey Jr. recovers from a leg injury.
Florida Marlins catcher, Charles Johnson, reveals to the world that one of the biggest hazards of being a catcher isn't catching fastballs and blocking the plate - it's hitters farting in the batter's box. "It happens all the time. A guy swings and misses and pfffffffft. Happens at least three or four times a week. It's so common you don't even laugh, but sometimes you don't know if it was the hitter or the umpire," says Charles.
