Dear Dish-It,
Hey what's up gurl! 'Aight here's my story... I like this guy cuz he's sooo sweet and cute and U know. Well, he likes my best friend and I happen to know that she likes him back! What do I do? Do I tell him he has no chance with her or do I say go for it??? Help!
lipshyne
Dear lipshyne,
This is a classic example of good vs. evil... your "good" side vs. your "not-so-good" side. It's ultimately up to you to decide who will win. But... since you asked my advice.... don't be a tool and stab your bud in the back. It'll only end in disaster - for you! If you lie and tell this hottie he has no chance with your bud, it still doesn't mean you'll snag him. Maybe he'll never go for you - even if you tell him you don't know a single soul who finds him attractive except you. Even if he does go for you - do you wanna be second choice? And he may still find out about the lie. Then you'll be out a BF and a BFF. And if this girl is your friend, why do you wanna diss her? Tell him to go for it (your friend,) and sleep soundly at night.
Dear Dish-It,
Hey, I have this boyfriend... we have been dating for three months and it's been great. The thing is, most girls say their boyfriends try too hard, well mine doesn't try at all! I have to ask him to call me - or like this one time, I didn't ask him to call me, and we didn't talk for three weeks!!! I call him all the time but it gets frustrating. So what should I do? Do I keep doing what I'm doing and ignore it, or should I talk to him?
cutie_pie88
Dear cutie_pie88,
I fail to see anything "great" about this relationship. Sorry, girlfriend, but the guy sounds like a total lame-o in the communication department (a department critical to the relationship biz.) If I were you, I'd fire his butt (dump him) and start taking applications to fill the BF position. After all, wouldn't you rather have a BF who tries too hard than not at all?
Dear Dish-It,
I went to a camp this summer and I had a BF but the only reason was cuz he didn't have a gurl 2 go 2 the dance with. And at school, everyone teases me about how "ugly" I am. I need 2 know if I really am ugly or not, and how 2 get a BF. I have boobs and a butt, plzzz help ASAP!
Soccerbabe13
Dear Soccerbabe13,
Chill. The fact is, not everybody can be as hot as Britney Spears, J. Lo or Sarah Michelle Gellar. I know I'm not a buff babe like them. But did you know that not everybody in the world thinks those peeps are hot? Some guys have actually told me they think Brit looks like a puppy, or J. Lo is skanky and Sarah Michelle looks too much like Freddie Prinze Jr. The point is, "beauty is in the eye of the beholder." Someone is gonna think you're a beauty one day or another. Kids are exceptionally cruel to each other - and everybody goes through an awkward period when they're growing up, which doesn't help with the teasing. The fact is you need to stay strong and keep feeling good about yourself. That confidence will shine through and add to your appeal for that special someone. And did this guy actually tell you he only went out with you cuz no one else would go 2 the dance with him? If he did, next time tell him to take a hike and go to the dance with friends. You deserve better than that!
Why in the world would you think you are ugly? You are not ugly if you have friends. You should never think you are ugly.

I often feel like I'm ugly too, but that never kept me from anything. In fact, I've even gotten used to all the teasing and such. I do have a lot of admirers, so it really does depend on who is judging you by your look. And don't go out with a guy if you're a second choice. He is so totally not worth it.

You are NOT ugly. Everyone is beautiful, or handsome in boys' cases. No matter what people think of you. It really matters what you think.

So gotta burnin' question? Need some love directions? Thinkin' about stuff like teen suicide, depression, sex, low self-esteem, boyfriends, girlfriends, losing old friends, bullying or peer pressure, but are too scared to ask your parents? Don't be scared to Dish-It. Just remember, if you hang out in chat with other Kidzworld members who know you by your nick, you might wanna use a secret nick when you write in. That way, no one will ever know it's you. Remember though, Dish-It gets tons of letters a day, so she can't answer 'em all. But keep checkin' the column cuz chances are, she'll be answering something very similar to your question soon. Thanks! Got some words of wisdom you wanna share? We'll dish them up too.
