He may have a girl's first name, but he can stickhandle his way through a pack of starving wolves in a meat cooler. And, he has a wrist shot that makes goalies cry for their mommies. Here's a look at Marian Gaborik - the superstar of the Minnesota Wild and one of the NHL's most exciting players.

Mighty Marian
Marian Gaborik started playing hockey when he was three years old in Trencin, Slovakia where he grew up. He joined the Minnesota Wild in 2000 after being picked third overall in the NHL entry draft. Marian made an immediate impact for the Wild by scoring the team's first-ever goal in their first game. In 2003, Marian established himself as one of the the NHL's top superstars. He scored 30 goals and played in the NHL All-Star Game. In the 2003 Stanley Cup Playoffs, Marian led the Wild to the Western Conference Finals and was one of the top scorers in the playoffs.

Marian's Moves
Marian Gaborik's combination of speed, strength and offensive creativity make him one of the toughest players in the NHL to defend. He also has one of the fastest and most accurate wrist shots in hockey. At the 2003 NHL Skills Competition, Marian won the Fastest Skater competition.
