The Emmys have been rescheduled and the TV networks are coming together to help out. We know what happens when a pussycat hooks up with a knight. And did you know your parents think Buffy blows?

1 The Primetime Emmy Awards has been rescheduled. Originally supposed to air on Sunday September 16, 2001 the show will now air on October 7, 2001. Host Ellen Degeneres' opening monologue has been axed and a skit poking fun at Bush and Gore has also been cancelled. It is reported that the show will have a moment of silence to honor David Angell, Emmy-winning producer of Frasier and Cheers, who was aboard one of the flights that crashed into the World Trade Center Towers.

1Major TV networks, NBC, ABC, CBS and FOX are reportedly joining together to air a telethon on Friday September 21, 2001. If it happens, it will be the first time in history that the same telethon airs on all major networks at the same time. The show will reportedly be two hours long and will raise money for relief and recovery efforts after the terrorist attacks on DC and NY. Celebs said to be making an appearance are George Clooney, Tom Hanks and Tom Cruise.

1What happens when a pussycat meets a knight? Sparks fly, that's what. Tara Reid (Melody from Josie and the Pussycats) and Heath Ledger (William in A Knight's Tale) met in the airport in London. The two shared a flight to Paris and reportedly hung out together for two days while in the city of love. Tara recently split from fiance Carson Daly and Heath is said to be involved with actress Jordana Brewster. Tisk! Tisk!

1 Buffy has a lot to deal with lately. Not only is she dead, but the Parents Television Council recently rated Buffy the Vampire Slayer as the third worst show on TV. Well, Buffy might be dead but Sarah Michelle Gellar is alive and kicking and she told Entertainment Weekly, "They just make me laugh so hard. I say, 'Come debate me. I want to see you bring your arguments to my face. Because you will lose - so quickly.'"

Many of the reviews and critics say it's bad because they are only looking at it from 'comic to movie' perspective. It was still a really cool movie and you should go see it. I'd have to agree with this. The movie itself was great. I think some people looked at it poorly because they were expecting something more similar to the older films or comparing it too hard to the comics. I personally think that it was a great way to reinvent some of the characters.

"It's so hard to talk when you want to k-ll yourself. That's above and beyond everything else, and it's not a mental complaint-it's a physical thing, like it's physically hard to open your mouth and make the words come out. They don't come out smooth and in conjunction with your brain the way normal people's words do; they come out in chunks as if from a crushed-ice dispenser; you stumble on them as they gather behind your lower lip. So you just keep quiet.” Ned Vizzini, "It's Kind of a Funny Story"

“Isn't there something in living dangerously?' There's a great deal in it,' the Controller replied. 'Men and women must have their adrenals stimulated from time to time.' What?' questioned the Savage, uncomprehending. It's one of the conditions of perfect health. That's why we've made the V.P.S. treatments compulsory.' V.P.S.?' Violent Passion Surrogate. Regularly once a month. We flood the whole system with adrenin. It's the complete physiological equivalent of fear and rage. All the tonic effects of murdering Desdemona and being murdered by Othello, without any of the inconvenience.' But I like the inconveniences.' We don't,' said the Controller. 'We prefer to do things comfortably.' But I don't want comfort. I want God, I want poetry, I want real danger, I want freedom, I want goodness. I want sin.' In fact,' said Mustapha Mond, 'you're claiming the right to be unhappy. Not to mention the right to grow old and ugly and impotent; the right to have ######## and cancer, the right to have too little to eat; the right to be lousy; the right to live in constant apprehension of what may happen tomorrow; the right to catch typhoid; the right to be tortured by unspeakable pains of every kind.' There was a long silence. I claim them all,' said the Savage at last. Mustapha Mond shrugged his shoulders. 'You're welcome,' he said.”
