Rat Race Movie Review

Rat Race is loopy, crazy and just plain fun. A bunch of bored, old, rich gamblers are goofing off in Vegas, gambling like mad, when one of them gets a crazy idea. How about duping a bunch of suckers into a crazy race across the desert to see who's the first to grab a sack of cash? These dirty old gamblers think it's a great idea! The next thing you know they've suckered half a dozen ordinary people into the race.

I'd rather be playing video games than gambling, but watching Rat Race was a hoot. The people in the race are a mix of freaks, geeks and total losers. There's a ref who blew it - bigtime, a spaced-out mom with crazy hair, a con man (Seth Green) who's brother has the brains of a donkey and more weirdos than you can shake a stick at.

Watching these yahoos get to Silver City, New Mexico as fast as they can is hilarious! Anything that can go wrong does and before you know it there's a busload of female impersonators, a one-cow blimp, body piercings for everyone, chopper chases and a rocket car. Smashmouth even shows up to kick it with a concert. It's totally zany, mega-weird and loony.
