Scrabble SLAM! Card Game Review
We all know and love the old, classic version of Scrabble – you know, the big paper board you fold out with the star smack-dab in the middle, the little wooden tiles that fit so neatly into the matching wooden racks, trying to outdo your friends and family by creating words that are worth more points than any one else can think of… Well, Scrabble is back and it’s been revamped. It’s called Scrabble SLAM! and it’s in the form of a fast-playing, card-slapping, word-changing, extra-fun card game.
In Scrabble SLAM! by Parker Brothers, two to four players ages eight and up play with a deck of 55 cards. This high-speed game requires you to race against your opponents while you make four-letter words, change existing words and be the first to get rid of your cards.
For example, the four-letter word GAME could become FAME (changing the “G” to an “F”), and then the word FAME could turn into the word FATE (changing the letter “M” to a letter “T”). Basically, you never know where the game will go when it comes to Scrabble’s new SLAM! card game.
So get your friends and family together and make it a games night, and see who has the best word power and the fastest hands!
