The Children’s Place Goes Backstage At The Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards

2009 Kids’ Choice Awards

When the stars hit the “orange carpet” to celebrate the 22nd Annual Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards on March 28, 2009, The Children’s Place was on the scene. While Dwayne Johnson hosted and The Jonas Brothers performed, celebrities flocked backstage to The Children’s Place lounge.

Everyone who stopped by scored a The Children’s Place t-shirt – the perfect basic for any outfit. Celebrities also stopped by The Children’s Place craft stations to decorate their own The Children’s Place messenger bags, which will be auctioned off to benefit the Books for Kids Foundation. Celebrities like Paula Abdul, Chace Crawford and David Archuleta took a break backstage to design messenger bags for the cause.

Books For Kids

Founded to promote literacy among kids with a special emphasis on low-income and at-risk preschool-aged children, Books for Kids creates libraries, donates books, and partners with literacy programs to develop the critical early foundation and skills which young children need to be successful in life. Since its founding in 1986, the Books for Kids Foundation has provided kids with more than 5 million books, created 56 libraries and provided literacy programs in many locations.

Messenger Bag Auction

The celebrity-designed messenger bags will be auctioned April 14th-24th, with all proceeds going toward fostering literacy through the Books For Kids Foundation. To place your bid on one of these cool celeb-crafted bags, visit www.ebay.com/thechildrensplace.

Here are my top 9 worst TV shows I have ever watched. 1. Breadwinners and Sanjay and Craig (tie) 2. Marvin Marvin 3.  Pickle and Peanut 4 Fred Figglehorn  5. Annoying Orange 6. Austin and Ally 7. Dog on a Blog 8. The Day My Butt Went Psycho (I'm not Canadian but it doesn't look like a good show) 9. Lab Rats  Basically every show that has a laugh track.  If you are looking for a good show, watch Doctor Who. No laugh tracks, humor is used properly, good storyline, DOESN'T take place in a school ALL OF THE TIME (well, it does in some episodes such as school reunion) The cast isn't full of teenagers and parents won't get so annoyed of the show. It's about a 900 year old time lord (who looks like a human) that travels in a TARDIS. He has 13 regenerations and almost always has a female companion with him. He is the last of his species so he's always lonely on Earth.

Plus he said MOST on cartoon Network. Not every show. I have to agree. There is better TV out there... Such as.... *takes deep breath* Doctor Who (Better than ALL of the trash they show on Disney Channel, Nickelodeon, and most cartoon network shows combined) Old spongebob (not the new spongebob episodes) Sherlock (hmmm I have never watched the show but i have heard it's awesome) I worship the BBC for making good things happen to the world.
